Annual Monitoring

Update June 2009 - Changes to the Annual Monitoring process for 2009-10

As a result of feedback, a number of changes have been made to the Annual Monitoring process to support departments in starting their annual review of courses and programmes earlier:

• Course and programme conveners may complete the results section of the AMR form using the results from the first exam diet and without having to wait for resit data to be available;
• Locally available results data may be included as an appendix to the AMR (eg Board of Examiner results) in lieu of completing the results table in the form.
• Electronic copies of external examiner reports will be sent to departments on receipt in the Senate Office.

In addition, direct links to Faculty AMR forms for Session 2008-09 will be available from the list below as the forms become available.

Annual Monitoring Report Forms

Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) forms must cover the key features set out in the Code of Practice on Annual Monitoring. These are determined centrally by Senate to be in accordance with SFC/QAA requirements for public data sets. In recognition of the different teaching practices and local initiatives across the University individual faculties have responsibility for their own AMR forms and may include additional topics of current interest (hot topics) and set the date by which they require completed AMR forms to be submitted to the Faculty Quality Assurance and Enhancement Officer.
